Reviews collection
A collection of arts reviews. Many of the articles listed in this set were published on the website of independent film magazine, Little White Lies.
A review of Morgan Spurlock's satirical 'Doc-Buster'.
After viewing over 40 films at the 2011 Short Film Festival, I completed a round up review of the 10-day event for Little White Lies.
?A review of Ride, Rise, Roar, a documentary from director Hillman Curtis. The story follows Talking Head's David Byrne on his experimental tour, where contemporary choreography meets Byrne's lyrical whimsy.
A review of Will Canon's first feature, Brotherhood for Little White Lies. The film has is pinned with the unfortunate genre of 'frat thriller,' despite its inevitable indie status.
A review of the book 'Film Moments' for Little White Lies. The book is comprised of academic essays from film scholars, design to change the way we perceive scene-by-scene cinema. This was my first published book review.
This is the second installment of the Netaudio festival review. This article explores the high and low points of the Netaudio conferences, and how high-concept agendas can alienate audiences.
?Netaudio is a left field sonic arts festival which, this year, explored the relationship between the arts and web technology. Events included a collection of art installations named the 'Sonic Maze' and a series of panel conferences, discussing the concept of netaudio and its influence on cultural change. The festival took place at the Roundhouse last May. As someone with no knowledge of the sonic arts, this was the most complex review I have ever written. Published on littlewhitelies.co.uk.
